At the risk of being endlessly made fun of after insisting that my daughter would not be one of those babies sprouting flowers bigger than their heads, I decided to post some pictures of the bows I've made lately ... most of which feature flowers bigger than Maddie's head :) Turns out the cuteness factor is through the roof. We had old ladies in Costco declaring her to be the most adorable baby they'd ever seen. I was mostly against them because I could think of about a million better ways to spend $10, which is about what these bows cost at the mall. But then Jenna showed me how to make them for WAY less, and I've been going to town. I think I'm done with the flower bows for now (Maddie now has 20), but I found a tutorial online for curly ribbon bows that are also very cute so I'll probably do some more of those. Check out my attempt at being crafty ...
The updated bow holder (kind of ... I actually made three more the day after I took this picture)
The flower bow collection (again, missing three)
Ribbon bows ... the one on the right is the first one I made with the tutorial, which turned out WAY too big so I adjusted it to make the smaller ones. The red, white and blue is obviously for July 4th - I think it looks like a firework!
My cute model!!
I knew it Jen! You told me NO big bows, but look how CUTE she looks with the big bows! I love it! The curly ones are cute too!
ReplyDeleteEvery mother of a daughter caves. Haha. Those are so cute! I like the curly ribbon bows the best. Brookyn has some 4th of July ones that look just like that. So fun.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, soooo cute! Where are you getting your flowers I want to make some. I bought a case of clips, I think I have nearly 500 haha so yeah I need to find some flowers to go on them because I have a few ribbon ones but they seem like they take more time/effort.
ReplyDeleteHi Sweetheart!I am so glad you came around to bows. When you were little I used the ribbon bows in your hair, then you grew up and hated bows in your hair. Now you have come full circle. Maddie is the cutest 3 month old granddaughter we have.
