Just a Quick Trip

Jordan has been flying all over the country the past three weeks for his optometry school interviews so Maddie and I decided to join him for a quick trip to Southern California when he interviewed at SCCO last weekend. It was a good excuse to enjoy some So Cal sunshine and hang out with Grandpa! We were only gone two days so we didn't have time for anything too crazy, but we did get to enjoy a nice lunch with my Grandma Bobbie and Great Grandma Marge - five generations around one table! Madison is VERY into food and thinks anything anyone else is eating or drinking should be hers. So I usually give her a little water to keep her happy … don’t tell the pediatrician!

Oh, and yes, that’s me!! That was my little surprise from a couple weeks ago – no more long blonde hair! My hair has been the same cut and color since the 8th grade and I finally decided I was totally BORED! So after some encouragement from my Mom, I got it chopped off (just above my shoulders) and colored a very pretty auburn color. I love it!!!!

But don't worry - no more traveling until Thanksgiving! A whole six weeks at home - the longest Maddie has ever gone without being thrown in the car seat and hauled off by her crazy parents!
