We had a lot of fun this year leading up to Christmas since Maddie was old enough to start getting excited. We broke a cardinal rule and put up our decorations before Thanksgiving ... yikes! But I was just in the mood for some holiday cheer so deal! I'm glad we did - Madison LOVED the Christmas tree and it was really fun to see her so excited to see it every morning and insist that we plug in the lights. She also had her own little nativity set to play with, and she enjoyed taking care of baby Jesus and talking to the sheep and camel. I don't have pictures because my camera is (was) lame, but we also went to a couple light displays here in town with friends! Christmas is always a busy time of year, but I'm glad that we had some random moments to enjoy our family and friends and celebrate!
Helping Dad fluff the tree
Admiring her handy work
It should come as no surprise that she insisted on being involved in every part of decorating. Hopefully we can make that translate to doing dishes and cleaning bathrooms a little later in life!
Hanging ornaments is serious business
The shiny balls were her favorite because she could see herself in them - typical girl!
We decorated and ate sugar cookies one afternoon when I was desperate for something to do. I'm glad I had the foresight to strip her down first!
Frosting and sprinkles make everything better!
I know this picture is super blurry but I couldn't resist :)
Love it
Putting the star on... what a cute picture!
