We went camping the first weekend of October!!! Jordan and I both grew up camping a lot as kids but have only been twice since getting married - totally pathetic!! We went up in the mountains around Show Low with Nana and Papa, Jenna's family and Jason's family. I'm used to camping in designated camping grounds so it was cool to just drive up in the mountains and plop down! Everyone else had the luxury of campers, but Jordan and I are proud to be tent people! The only problem is that we were camping in the mountains in October. It was mighty cold, but the girls had many layers and did well sleeping and Jordan managed to keep me warm for the most part. We got there late Friday night (a big thanks to Jason for setting up our tent in advance) and I went to bed shortly after with the girls while Jordan stayed up and talked. I forgot the cardinal rule of having a quilt underneath you when sleeping on an air mattress and was REALLY cold for the first couple hours, I was also really struggling with my stomach and some serious heartburn and was just all around miserable. Finally, Jordan came in, told me I was a dork and fixed our bed. I also gave in and went outside in the woods to throw up and found some Tums in Teri's bathroom. After all that, the rest of the weekend was smooth sailing!!! We had so much fun riding the four-wheelers, hanging out with family, and enjoying nature. It was seriously so beautiful!! I never knew there were trees in Arizona until I met Jordan, and I know understand why they like to keep that a secret :) The fall colors were beautiful! I'm so glad we went!

Two cute girls
I love this picture of McKinley and Daddy!
Brynli and Madison
Everything was awesome until McKinley got stung by a bee! This is a big fear of mine since none of us have ever been stung and I'm so afraid of allergies. But McKinley did great. She cried for a few minutes, and the spot (right under her eye) was red and puffy for a while but she didn't complain about it at all the rest of the weekend.
The four wheeler makes everything better!
The three girls of the "first group" - Brynli, Mayli and Madison
Jordan made himself comfortable!
And so did Papa :)
Jordan and I went for a drive in the Ranger, and I was stunned by the colors!! I have missed fall so much living in Phoenix, so this was perfect!!
This is what we found when we got back!
Fun times on the Ranger
