Thursday was a big day, although I didn't know it until after the fact. There was an "awards ceremony" in the morning at the school at the end of capstone, but all anyone knew about it was that they were going to announce the winners of the business plan competition. Families were invited to a BBQ lunch afterward. But as I was on my way to the BBQ, Jordan called me with some news - the awards ceremony had been exactly that and he had won two awards totaling $1500!!! I was so proud of him and so mad and disappointed that I wasn't there! I was just sitting around at home waiting for the BBQ. I was so upset that the school didn't communicate with us better. But whatever. I could not be more excited for Jordan and all his hard work and accomplishments. He is seriously amazing!!
Thursday evening was a banquet, which was really just dinner and a 30-minute highlight video that some of the students made. It was actually a really fun video, but I couldn't help thinking that the banquet would've been a much better venue to be handing out awards. (I'm still a little bitter if you can't tell!) The big girls stayed with the Rosses so we had another date night with Reagan :) We got to sit at a table with the Andersons and Kings, which was fun!
