Swim Lessons

Madison and McKinley did a round of swim lessons through the city rec department over the last two weeks of May and had a great time!! We did a few sessions last year too and really liked it! This season, McKinley moved up to the shrimp class and Madison was a level 2. They both did great! Madison is already pretty confident in the water and got to start learning the different strokes in her class. McKinley is learning how to use her arms and legs together. The teenage instructors are really good and play lots of games with the kids. McKinley especially loves Chop Chop Timber, Red Light Green Light, PB&J and Ice Cream Scoops. At the end of the two weeks, Madison's teacher said she was ready to move up to the next level! McKinley still needs a little more practice :) Madison's teacher said "Great job Maddie! Remember to breathe to the side when swimming on your front. Keep up the awesome work!" McKinley's teacher said "McKinley really enjoys Red Light Green Light because her kicks are amazing! She needs to scoop more ice cream with her arms. Continue the hard work!"

Madison is working on her "chicken, star, rocket" moves!
