Bucket List Checked

We got some bad news in March that meant we have to once again postpone our house hunt so we decided to drown our sorrows with a trip to the National Championship game!! Total bucket list item for both of us!! The Final Four was in Phoenix this year and Jordan had asked me if I wanted to go and I told him no way - I refused to spend a ton of money (at least a thousand bucks I was sure) to sit in the nosebleed section! Then a few days before the game, my friend Jill mentioned that she and her husband were going to go and had found tickets for just over $100 a piece. WHAT?!?!?! Yeah, sign me up!!! So we made it a foursome and had a great time!

I'm so glad we decided to go!! The seats were actually decent and it was so fun just to be there and feel the energy!! It was also a huge added bonus that I loved both teams that were playing - Gonzaga and North Carolina!! I was totally rooting for my Zags, who lost, but it was still awesome!!! Funny story though, after the game we stayed for the trophy presentation and then I asked if we could stay just a little longer because I wanted to see One Shining Moment. After about 15 minutes, I came to the conclusion that they weren't going to show it in the arena and we headed out, stopping at the bathrooms on our way. I went in just ahead of Jill while the guys waited outside. When I came out, the three of them were standing there laughing at me ... they had played One Shining Moment while I was in the restroom! It had started just as I went in, and Jill had heard the music and tried to yell at me but I didn't hear. I was disappointed that I missed it but it was pretty funny!

The lighting was awful for pictures but it's officially documented that we were there! And of course we had to bring the lucky boy! He did great :)
