Oops, I Lied

Not on purpose. I really did intend to let Maddie have a break from the car seat for a whole six weeks. But then my sister-in-law Jonni called and before I knew it, Maddie and I were packed up and headed to St. Johns, AZ for Halloween (Jordan had to stay home and work/go to school). Maddie has lots of relatives there that she hadn't met yet so it was time for her to make her debut in Jordan's hometown. At least that's what we told everyone. In reality, we were just really sick of seeing pictures of the other three cousins all together without her!! So away we went.

We had a great time just hanging out and spending time with family!! At seven months, Maddie is actually the youngest of the cousins on Jordan's side so far with Jonni's Mason at 15 months, Jason's Brynli at a year and Jenna's Mayli at nine months (Mayli was actually also born eight weeks premature, which is a crazy coincidence). Jenna and Mayli came up from Mesa on Thursday and Brynli's family already lives there so we finally had all four cousins together!! Gramma Ter had fun showing Maddie off at work and helping her practice sitting. Everyone thought she was totally cute and were shocked at how active she is - she had everyone laughing at her constant hip action! Brynli and Maddie rode in the St. John's Halloween Parade on Saturday and then Maddie, Mason and Mayli went trick-or-treating Saturday night. All four kids spent lots of time playing and getting to know each other, which we hope will lead to more fun as they get older! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great week!!

Getting ready for Halloween. I made Maddie a tutu and flower bow to wear with a pink onesie that said Wickedly Cute. I'm not really into Halloween so I didn't go all out with her costume but I think she looked cute

Practicing sitting with Gramma Ter. Maddie actually sits pretty well on her own already. She just sometimes falls over when she gets a little too active, which is actually pretty much all the time :)
