Party Time!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we decided to postpone celebrating Maddie's birthday until our families all came to Provo for Jordan's graduation. Which meant we had some serious partying to do once all the graduation hoopla was over on Friday! We had a combined Happy Graduation/Happy Birthday party complete with signs and balloons for each. They even each had their own "cakes" - a German chocolate cake in the shape of a Y for Jordan and pink cupcake cones with sprinkles for Maddie. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and we had a fantastic afternoon! Special shout out to my Mom, who put aside her complete loathing of raw chicken and single-handedly skewered 100 shish-kabobs while I ran around worrying about everything else. You rock, Mom!

The Birthday Girl!!

Serious cuteness :)

Alright, what is this cake stuff?!

Mmm, not too bad!

I think I'll have some more!!

And I'd like to try one of those cupcake cone things too ... but no one better take my cake away; I'm guarding it!

Party guests (from l to r): Cousin Hudson (in the car seat), cousin Mayli, Gramma Ter, Grandpa John and Uncle Chris

Cousin Mason, cousin Mallory (technically Jordan's cousin) and cousin Jake (Mallory's husband)

Aunt Casey, Grandpa Steve and Uncle Sam with the cute girl

Uncle Adam, Uncle Sam, Grandpa Milt, Grandma Char and Grandpa Steve hanging out at the food table. Uncle Matt, Aunt Grace, Aunt Jenna and Aunt Jonni were there too but somehow they didn't make it into any pictures

Time for presents! First up - a cool toy from Grandpa Steve

Maddie got lots of presents from Mom and Dad but this is the one I'm most proud of - 4 sets of felt storyboards for Church. I went a little overboard in how I made them so they took a LONG time to make but I'm really happy with how they turned out. Hopefully they'll last for lots of kids to come!

Pretty shoes!

We love books!

The big hit of the day - a ride-on car from Grandma and Grandpa Rothlisberger. She was on this thing for the rest of the afternoon. Good thing she had Uncle Adam around to push!

Oh yeah, Jordan got some stuff too :) After all, it was a combined Happy Graduation/Happy Birthday party!

Maddie got him "The Eye Book" because he's going to optometry school ... get it?! Hehe

  1. I can't believe I didn't make any pictures! At least I got to have a great time at the party! You guys did a great job. I need your pattern and directions for the felt stories for church to see if I would even attempt to make them b/c I'm not so crafty.

P.S. Beat you Nana! Guess you shoudn't have gone to bed!
