In the meantime, we've been having lots of fun with our awesome families. Since my blog is obviously quite behind my life, I'll do a quick recap of our last week in Idaho when the sun finally came out!! My Mom had last Monday off so we went to a park in Spokane called Riverfront Park, which is (surprise) on the river. I think most of it is actually on an island in the river. It's big and grassy with lots of things to see and do so we took a lot of pictures as you can see below. We also had the chance to go swimming both in the lake and in the backyard pool at my parents' house. Maddie wasn't a huge fan of the SUPER COLD North Idaho water but she liked the little snap-up pool my Mom got her and she really liked watching my crazy brothers and sisters mess around in their big pool. Then on Friday we went to Silverwood, which is touted as the biggest amusement park in the Northwest (don't get too excited - it's also like the only amusement park in the Northwest). There wasn't really a whole lot for Maddie there but we considered it a dry run for our Disneyland trip in a couple weeks and overall, she just enjoyed being outside. Jordan probably had the most fun as he was the only one in my family who went on every roller coaster. Such a daredevil :) We tried to squeeze in as much family time as possible over the weekend before loading up the car and heading out Monday morning.
So there you have it. We had a great time in Idaho with my family and can't wait to see them again, whenever that may be. I have some more random pictures to post from our trip up there so I'll do that in a couple days before reporting on our time in Arizona. I think we're all excited for the upcoming 4th of July weekend that will also feature the blessing of Maddie's newest cousin, Kynsli (we have a thing about 4th of July blessings!). I'm really glad that we're able to be here for it and to be able to spend time with Jordan's family. It was fun seeing Maddie interact with all my brothers and sisters and how much they all loved being with her, but I'm excited for her to get to play with all her little cousins! Jordan's sisters always post cute pictures of all the cousins together, sans Maddie, so now it's her turn to play!! Stay tuned!
