- We don't have a one-month doctor's appointment since she's already been so much with her jaundice but we weighed her on the Wii and she was 9 pounds 5 ounces!!! (up from 7 lbs 2 oz at birth)
- She's doing great on her sleep/eating schedule. I have her eating every 2.5-3 hours during the day with her last feeding coming around 10 p.m. Then Jordan is in charge of putting her to bed :) She sleeps until around 3 a.m. and usually goes right back to bed until around 6 or 6:30 a.m. when we all get up for the day!
- She's pretty gassy, which I'm going to blame on Jordan. She doesn't burp but she toots constantly. And usually more than air comes out :) It's extremely rare that we change a diaper that's just wet!
- She still has a pretty fair amount of dark hair, much more than Madison. But unlike Madison, her eyelashes and eyebrows are super blonde and thus barely visible
- She takes after her big sister in that she hates the car seat and only tolerates the swing in small doses. This makes getting things done around the house and playing with Madison somewhat difficult, but I'm also more than happy to soak up all the baby cuddles while she's still giving them out!
- We haven't really taken her out much, mostly because it's so hot I hate putting her in the car. She's been to the pool a couple times to watch her big sister swim, several doctor's appointments and big sister's gymnastics class. Her biggest outing thus far was this past Sunday when she went to church for the first time!
- Her favorite sleeping position is up on your shoulder with her hands around your neck. Jordan always says she's tickling him!
- My favorite thing she does is sometimes when she's nursing, she puts her hand up by her face and makes it super rigid, like she's putting up a stop sign. But she gulps like crazy when she eats so I don't think it has anything to do with stopping :) I also love when she holds onto my finger while she nurses.
- She doesn't smile at any of us yet, but she almost always has some cute smiles and giggles right after she nurses when she's just laying there in that "milk drunk" stage (a term coined by Madison's occupational therapist in the NICU). It's super cute and my favorite time with her!
- She doesn't mind tummy time (unlike her sister) and has already gotten pretty good at lifting her head up and moving it side to side
- She also LOVES baths and totally relaxes when we get her wrapped in her warm wet blanket in the tub. In fact, she relaxes so much that she's already pooped three times in the bath!
- She's ticklish, especially on the bottoms of her feet and on her sides. This is helpful when she falls asleep eating!
- She is still completely adored by her big sister. Madison thinks everything McKinley does is awesome. She especially loves the tooting and hiccups, although she's also already pretty bossy and loves to tell her to stop crying or wake up. When she sings "Wheels on the Bus," she has changed the line "the babies on the bus go wah, wah, wah" to "Baby Kinley on the bus goes wah, wah, wah." She always calls her Baby Kinley (we just hope this won't get confusing since the girls have a cousin named Kinsley)
