McKinley is four months old today, but I decided to wait to post about that until after her doctor's appointment on Friday so I can include stats. So instead you get Miss Madison!! A friend told us about a local gym that was doing a mom and tot gymnastics play hour during the summer so we decided to check it out. Madison loved it so much that we ended up signing her up for a weekly class. She's been doing it for about three months now and has already gotten so good! She can do the balance beam by herself, can almost do forward rolls by herself and is getting better at flipping over the bar. Her favorite part by far is the jump track, which is basically just a really long trampoline, like the entire length of the gym long. She could bounce on that thing forever! What's really been exciting for us is to see her social skills improve. She's become much more talkative with the other girls in her class and even gave one a hug as we left on Tuesday! Seriously cute :) We also wanted to give her more opportunities besides nursery to do things without me. Because they're so little, the class is still parent-assisted, but Jordan is the one that helps her each week and we really emphasize that she needs to pay attention to Coach Sara. Between this and her weekly preschool class, she's really becoming a grown up little girl!!

Doing airplane arms on the balance beam (with a little demonstration from Dad!)
The jump track
Can you tell she's having fun?!
Happy girl
Working on getting those legs up with Coach Sara. They take turns doing a couple different things on the bar before actually flipping and she always insists on counting to 10 by herself for each exercise
The flip!
Ta da!
My camera was still recovering from the previous picture so I couldn't capture it, but she can hold herself up on the bar
Forward roll a.k.a. somersault. She puts her hands up, bends over and rolls by herself - Coach Sara just steadies her to make sure she rolls straight. I never could do a straight somersault, sadly. Jordan demonstrated for her one day ... it was AWESOME :)
oh i remember Sara! Go Madison you are doing really good.
