Christmas 2012

We had a great Christmas at home this year! Christmas eve was so fun staying up to set everything out for the girls, including Madison's pink bike! And then she came out of her room in the morning and just walked right past it. I even had the video camera on her, but it's not worth posting :) Oh well. After a few minutes, she got right into the Christmas spirit and started working on presents! By the time we got the presents passed out, McKinley was ready for her morning nap so she opened one gift and then went to sleep. This let us focus on Madison while she was opening and then we were able to take turns opening our presents while she played. Then McKinley took her turn once she woke up. The rest of the day was super low-key, which is just what I wanted! We played, watched movies and just had fun together!

McKinley's ball pit has been a big hit with both girls, and we're excited to have the other babies over to play in it! Madison loves her bike but can't quite reach the pedals (which is why we were going to wait until her birthday) so she just uses her feet for now. She also really loves the doctor set we got her and has given us all dozens of check-ups. I made McKinley a set of maraccas from lemon juice squirters filled with popcorn kernels that she loves. She also really likes the Gerber puffs Santa brought in her stocking ... she loves to eat anything!! I think her favorite present though is her baby doll. She laughs like crazy at that thing and gives it tons of kisses!!
