Beach Babes

After a terrific and tiring two days at Disneyland, we spent Saturday relaxing at the beach! My Dad lives a couple blocks away from Huntington Beach, which is the best! I miss the ocean so much!! Everything about the sand, sun and surf just makes me happy! The girls weren't too sure at first, but as long as we made the waves fun, they were good! They LOVED playing in the sand! Madison spent her time collecting shells, building castles with Grandpa, burying Dad and playing with another little girl while McKinley helped me dig for shells. Then we walked the pier and ate at Ruby's, our traditional Huntington hangout!

Bring on the beach!

Two cute girls ready for the water

Smiley baby (I'm gonna have to stop calling her that - she's so not a baby anymore!)

Beach babe

Getting used to the water - she didn't really like how the sand disappeared from under her feet when the water receded

Getting braver!

Mom's not afraid! It was actually pretty cold, given that it was early May. But I didn't care - I was getting in! I made Jordan get in too :)

"The wave is leaving"

All smiles

Making sand castles with Grandpa

Another beach babe (I love the sunglasses below her chin - this is how she wears them when she doesn't want them on instead of on top of her head)

I love this picture! She was just sifting through the sand looking for shells.

Aunt Stephanie and a friend from the next towel over :)

This girl has the best smiles! Oh yeah, and McKinley looks cute too (Ha ha, just kidding!)

The beach and food! Could life get any better?!

Traditional family photo at the end of the pier. McKinley was totally out by this time!

FLASHBACK: June 2010. Just barely a family of three :)

With Aunt Stephanie ... Is Madison posing?!

Silly girl waiting to eat at Ruby's

Sleepy baby. I actually have another photo almost exactly like this taken at the same place when Madison was about three months old - she too was sleeping on Dad at Ruby's!

Ready for more fun!

  2. Too much fun! You look great! I'm jealous. We really don't make it to the beach often or ever! I haven't been in almost 5 years. What fun times and memories! Love it!
