A Bright Spot

This month has been pretty dismal. If I have to hear the words "arctic blast" or "polar vortex" again, I might throw something. It's cold. Really cold. I'm sure all you people in Idaho and Utah are laughing at me, but people in the South do not do highs in the 30's. It's just not natural. And yet, that's what we've had most of this month. Combine with that two colds for each of the girls and a random bout of stomach flu for Jordan and I, and it's been rough! But there was one bright spot, literally, amidst the freezing temps and endless days inside. Martin Luther King Day was gorgeous! Temperatures in the mid-50s and a day off for Jordan! We celebrated by spending the morning at the Botanical Gardens with the Kowallis family. I know there's already a million pictures on this blog from the Gardens, but there's always cuteness to be photographed. We do really love the Gardens - it's one of many places I'll miss a lot when we move! Hopefully, we'll find something equally awesome in Phoenix!

Getting his hula on! He's pretty good :)

Jordan wanted to spend all day in these chairs. He's obsessed with them now and wanted this picture so he could remember them for our future house!

Jordan contemplating the slide. Madison always refuses to go down it. Daxon went down it and got stuck so Cade had to follow him and get him unstuck. After seeing Cade go down it, Jordan decided to try going down too.

Squeezing his way down!

He made it!

Demonstrating the tight fit :)

Nope, she didn't go down it, just tried to climb up it!

Jordan finally convinced Madison to go down with him. I can't imagine how the two of them fit through the turns!
