Valentine's Day was pretty low key this year with everything else going on, but we still did all of our traditions and had a great time! We did hearts on the girls' doors throughout the days leading up to Valentine's and balloons and candy robots on the morning of. I also got them lots of new fun dress up things as their little gift. Jordan and I didn't do any gifts this year since we're trying to save for our house and there wasn't really anything either of us wanted. We're pretty happy overall :) However, I woke up to roses everywhere!!! Jordan started making me yellow paper napkin roses five years ago when he was in school and we had no money. I love them so much and it has become one of my favorite traditions!!! He is awesome! The girls and I also colored hearts and wrote notes for him and filled his car with them while he was at work :) I love doing fun thoughtful things instead of just spending a bunch of money! I had mutual on the night of Valentine's so I picked up a heart pizza for dinner and McKinley helped me make cheesecake tarts for dessert (she went through my recipes and picked that one!) Then on Wednesday, Jordan and I put the kids to bed and had a yummy dinner of steak, grilled asparagus and oven fries!! I love this tradition we have of a yummy private dinner at home instead of fighting the crowds at a restaurant!! I'm super grateful for this wonderful family of mine and happy for any opportunity I have to show them how much I love them!!

We did an FHE lesson about how God shows loves for us and how we can show love for Him and wrote our ideas on hearts. McKinley and Reagan had fun one morning with some heart tp roll painting
I gave McKinley a big piece of butcher paper and told her draw some pictures of things she loves. Instead, she decided to make a poster for Madison to show Madison how much she loves her :) She hung it up in the living room and was so excited to show Madison after school!
Ready for Valentine's Day
Lots of new dress up stuff!
I've made these candy robots the last couple years ... I think they're cute and a good way to limit the candy!!
Roses everywhere!!!! Yellow roses are my favorite
