We got to celebrate McKinley's kindergarten graduation this week!! Jordan kind of laughs at this sort of thing since she's not really graduating from anything, but it's always fun to celebrate! I took Reagan and Dirk to the ceremony at the school along with my Grandma. We were all settled in just waiting for it to start when Reagan tripped and fell, hitting her mouth on the bench in front of us. Her whole face was immediately covered in blood and I had to rush her out while she was screaming like a banshee! Jordan's Aunt Marilyn was there too for her grandson so she helped my Grandma with Dirk while I rushed to the nurse's office trying top stop the bleeding and figure out how bad it was. The nurse had gone home for the day (of course) but with the help of the office staff, we were able to get Reagan calmed down and cleaned up enough to see that she had busted open a gash right below her nose. At least no teeth were involved!! The principal offered to delay the graduation for us but I felt like I had the bleeding and crying under control enough to return for the time being so we did. The ceremony was thankfully short and sweet and Reagan was doing well enough that we were able to go to McKinley's classroom after to get some treats and say goodbye to her teacher. We also snapped a picture with her best friend, Emma, knowing that we're changing schools next year. Then we came home and had some cupcakes to celebrate. I ended up taking Reagan into the pediatrician later that day just to make sure they didn't recommend stitches but they said stitches would probably just make the scarring worse :( We'll see how it ends up looking but she's been a total trooper!! Oh, and Hooray for McKinley!! ;)
