Last week at the library, we checked out a book about a little boy who made his very own boat. But then the boat got smashed so he turned the broken pieces into a kite. So of course, Madison got it into her head that we had to make a kite. She was positive we had all the supplies, and fortunately we were able to piece it together from poster board, wooden dowels, ribbon, yarn and lots of hot glue! Unfortunately, there was no wind that day so the kite never flew. We took it to the park and tried our best, but in the end, the poster board ended up ripping away from the dowel, ending our flying day. However, Madison immediately declared that now we had to make a boat from the pieces. Which we did. But that is a post for another day :)
Ready to fly!
There was definitely some fighting over the kite so hugs were required :)
After finally conceding that the kite was not going to fly ...
... But then deciding that we can make a boat instead!
McKinley has started doing this a lot - she plugs her ears and then yells as loud as she can. Silly girl :)
Watch out Madison....McKinley is gonna get you in a few months. Looks like she is trying to now. Love you girls!!!
