I am totally loving third year!! Jordan's schedule is awesome! He has a couple long days each week, but the other days are very nice, and there's not nearly as much studying and practicing going on! It's been great! The other awesome perk about third year is the Riverboat Cruise!! Each year, Wal-Mart hosts a Riverboat Cruise for all third-year students in an attempt to convince them to open their practice at Wal-Mart or Sam's Club. The evening includes dinner, a short presentation and a nice long cruise along the river. We've babysat for friends the past two years so I've been eagerly anticipating our turn to go! It's definitely something we wanted to do here but would be too expensive to do on our own. Thank you Wal-Mart! Some of Jordan's classmates didn't sign up because they thought it would be lame, but I totally don't get that. We had a great time!! Dinner was good, the presentation was informative (I know most people scoff at the idea of going this route, but we're open to anything that provides a paycheck :) ) and we had a lot of fun with friends since the Kowallis', Widdisons and Andersons all went too! After dinner and the presentation, we spent some time hanging out on the upper deck chatting and enjoying the view. Jordan and I even danced a little bit, which everyone else thought was a little strange, but we're good like that :) It was a great date night that definitely lived up to my expectations!

Our Riverboat
The main bridge over the river. We had lived here over a year before someone told me the lights are supposed to make an M for Memphis :)

No, my hair isn't in a ponytail - it's just that windy!

What a great night out on Walmart and Sam's Club....looked fun and cold! What did you dance to?
ReplyDeleteWe would have totally gone if we could have! I was sad we couldn't go. :( glad you had fun and you looked great!
ReplyDeleteIt really was one of my favorites! I had no idea about the lights on the bridge, 4 years later :)! Finding a job after school can become a nightmare so it is great to know other options, we have gone down roads and back up others we never thought we would!
