Rothlisberger Randoms - October

This time change thing is killing me ... and my kids ... still. I've been meaning to write up the recaps for all of us to include with this post, but it just ain't happening. So, just know that we're all alive and happy. Milestones were reached, cute things were done and said, and life continued blissfully on in the month of October. More detailed information will be available at the end of November :)

McKinley and Dax. As you can tell, the beginning of the month was still shorts weather! Not so anymore, thank goodness. I love fall! And I love how much McKinley loves this pink hat and wearing her sister's backpack everywhere.

The family that plays together stays together. Wii Mario Kart. Training them young.

We went to a fire safety day and met Smokey the Bear among lots of other activities. Madison is not the best at posing for photos :)

The Widdisons invited us over one night for dinner and FHE. McKinley may have spilled chocolate milk all over her pants and the floor. Ryan planned a great lesson, complete with coloring pages, and then the girls wanted Jen to read to them. I'm really going to miss Ryan and Jen!

Mom, take my picture

Have I mentioned that she loves this pink hat?! Oh, and shoes, anyone's shoes. She's a cute girl :)

After seeing McKinley wearing her old Minnie Mouse pajamas, Madison became obsessed and insisted on having her own. I needed to buy her some long-sleeved jammies anyway, so we went to Wal-Mart on a mission. After scouring the pajama section for 20 minutes with no luck and a teary little girl, I finally found these on the back of a rack. They're not pink but she decided that for the purpose of Minnie jammies, "red is pink." Smart girl :)

The Kings invited us over for hot dogs and smores over the fire pit in their backyard! This is Madison with her friend Michelle

Enjoying her marshmallow

I don't think McKinley had ever seen fire before, and she was fascinated by it.

This pic is blurry, but I love it. First, can we just talk about her constantly bringing me bloomers from her drawer and wanting them on?! I swear, her dream outfit is pajamas of any kind with bloomers over the top, a pair of Madison's shoes and her pink hat. She is ALWAYS bringing me these items and wanting them on, even when she already has regular clothes on!! Secondly, she recently discovered the drawer in the bathroom where I keep toilet paper rolls for various projects. She loves to put them on her hands. The first time, she did it, I laughed so hard!! She just looked so stinkin' cute!! I have no idea where she even got the idea to do this, but every time time she does now, I can't help smiling!
