Utah Fun

Last fall, Jordan and I booked an Alaskan cruise for our 10 anniversary! We did the same cruise for our Honeymoon and LOVED it so we decided to do it again! Plus my Mom offered to watch my kids so it was easiest to get to Seattle from her house. When it came time to really figure out the details, we decided that I would drive all four kids up to my Mom the week before and spend some time with them there while Jordan stayed in AZ and worked for the week. Then he and I would meet up in Seattle for our cruise and then all drive back to Arizona from my Mom's house afterwards. Some medical issues with my grandma almost derailed our plans completely and did end up delaying us a couple days but eventually we made it!!

Since it's a two-day drive and I was by myself with the kids, I wanted to break it up a little so we stopped at Chris and Wendy's house for a day to play with cousins. We always have so much fun at their house and the kids play so well together!! I kinda wish we could just move to Utah so we could be closer and see each other more often. But we'll take whatever time we can get!! The kids did fantastic on the drive, and it really wasn't as bad as I feared, although I was REALLY happy when we finally arrived in Idaho!

Traveling Buddies

Madison was loving the scenery!

Dirk immediately found the kitchen in the playhouse outside

We took the kids to a fun splash pad by the house in the morning! What a cute group!

Then in the afternoon, we went to a little manmade reservoir so the kids could swim and kayak. This place is seriously awesome!! It's not very big - like the size of the ponds in our neighborhood here - but it's perfect for kids!! We could've easily spend the whole day here! My big girls especially love to kayak. I wish we had more places like this in AZ! This is Reagan hitching a ride with Adam

Dirk isn't much of a water guy but he loved playing in the sand
