Playground Fun

As I mentioned in my last post, Jordan started seeing patients in The Eye Center this semester, which means he has very long Mondays and Tuesdays. I've been dreading this for a while, but it's actually not nearly as bad as I thought it would be because the rest of the week is so awesome, especially compared to those first two days! In addition to a lighter schedule on Wednesday and Thursday, half the Fridays this semester he's home by 11 a.m. (the other Fridays are just like Monday and Tuesday ... yuck!) So we always try to take advantage of the extra time together and do something fun as a family! This week it was a trip to the wood park for a picnic and some play time! We love the wood park (I think it's actually called Conger Park, but all the equipment there is made out of wood so we just call it the wood park). It's in Hernando, which is about 15 minutes south of us, but it's totally worth the short drive. It's the best park we've found around here! We had lots of fun, which of course means lots of pictures :)

Ready to play!

She led both of us all over the playground

Not a huge fan of the tunnel

But the swings were a definite hit! This girl LOVES to swing!

So does her big sister :)

Happy baby, I mean, little girl!

Super Madison! Remember, Jordan is 6-4 ... she's up there!

Madison has always been a little shy around other kids so we've really been working with her on saying hi, introducing herself and not being so hesitant around "friends" ... While Jordan and I were taking pictures of McKinley on the swings in another part of the playground, Madison went over to the tire swing, introduced herself to this little girl and her grandma, who was pushing the swing, and climbed on! We came over to find her swinging away! We were very proud of her!

Where's Madison?!

She called this tower her castle

McKinley wanted to come in the castle too!

Just playing

Big girl!

Madison has been getting A LOT more adventurous lately in her desire to be a big girl. She actually fell through the ropes right as she got to the top of this, but we made her do it again and she made it all the way!

Peek-a-boo

This one is getting more adventurous too! She just likes to hold on still :)

Two cute girls :)

Gotta love that tongue

Before we left the playground, Madison gave everyone a concert, complete with dance moves and microphone. Some of the other parents were cracking up watching her! She really is so cute when she sings like this :)
