Tunica

Jordan had a couple days off last week, but we decided to just lay low and play here. We had a relaxing day at home on Thursday and then on Friday we went to Tunica to have some fun! Tunica is a small town right on the river about 30 miles south of us. It's mostly famous for its casinos, but there's a small River Park there and an outlet mall. I go clearance shopping twice a year down there to buy clothes for the next year and this was the weekend for all the sales. Jordan has been talking about going to a buffet at one of the casinos forever so it was a win for both of us! And we even convinced the Kowallis family to come with us :) The boys were supposed to go golfing in the morning, but we woke up to thunderstorms so that didn't happen. Instead we just headed down south and did lunch at the Americana Buffet at the Goldstrike Casino and then went to the River Park to look around. It was super hot so we didn't stay too long, but it was fun to see the river from another vantage point. It's always impressive! Then we hit the outlets and did some damage! It was a great family day!

Madison was totally fearless and kept asking to climb to the top of the railing. Crazy girl! I'm seriously afraid of heights so I did not do well seeing her even just hanging on like this! Good thing Jordan kept a firm grip on her!

My Tunica haul - I love clearance shopping! I got Madison 12 shirts, four pairs of shorts, a bathing suit, a sweatshirt, two pajama sets, a nightgown, sandals, sunglasses, a sun hat, and two dresses plus a matching dress for McKinley for Easter all for $123!! I think we're pretty set for next summer!
