Story time - After dinner, we were waiting at the trolley stop to board the one going downtown. Another trolley going a different direction stopped at the platform, but we obviously didn't get on since it wasn't the one we wanted. Unfortunately, we evidently didn't explain this well enough to Madison. As the trolley pulled away from the platform, she turned to me with the most pitiful look on her face like she was trying so hard to be a big girl and not cry and then she just burst into tears, sobbing that we didn't get to ride on the trolley again. I seriously loved her so much in that moment!! I explained that that trolley was going back to the car and we didn't want to go back to the car yet since we still wanted to have fun riding on the trolley so we were going to wait for the right trolley to come get us so we could ride around more. Thankfully, it came soon and order was restored to the universe! Cute girl :)
Ready to ride!
(With our ginormous pizza leftovers! We highly recommend Trolley Stop!)
Three cute girls
Maddie and Daddy
Think she's having fun?! :)
Just chillin' - typical McKinley!
She rode like this most of the way...
(please note Jordan's arm firmly around her!)
...except when she wanted to be a big girl and stand up on the trolley
Waiting for our ride
Here it comes!
Bye trolley!
I guess Madison doesn't remember riding the trolley and going to the duck walk with papa and I. That is a fun little ride. She sure looks like she is having the time of her life!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! We love Daniel Tiger around here, too. My kids would flip out if they were able to ride a real trolley! :)
