We added to our summer of fun with a trip to Utah! We met my family up there to see the Manti pageant. Every time we drive by the Gilbert temple, the girls ask me if that's the temple we got married in so we thought it would be really neat to show them the Manti temple where we were sealed!! We broke it up a little bit so it would be less of a drive for Reagan and drove to Jonni's house in Cedar City Thursday night and then up to my brother's house in Mapleton on Friday. We got there about 15 minutes before the rest of my family, who had driven down from Idaho! We had a lot of fun hanging out on Friday!! My brother rented an inflatable outdoor movie screen for the evening so we watched Lion King and Star Trek! Saturday morning, we went into Provo and drove around a bit looking at all our old haunts. We saw our old apartment, the hospital where Madison was born, the Provo temple and BYU, which has changed a TON in the four years we've been gone. My favorite part, however, was seeing the new City Center temple. Jordan and I had one of our first dates in the Tabernacle and it was when he put his arm around me for the first time. I was devastated when it caught fire a few months before we moved and then was so excited when they announced it was going to be a temple! It is so beautiful, and I really hope we can make it back for the Open House next year. Later that afternoon, we drove to Manti to enjoy the pageant. We were hoping to recreate some of our wedding pictures around the grounds but most of it was blocked off for the pageant. But it was still so fun to be there and to show the girls our temple!! McKinley fell asleep soon after it started, but Madison watched the whole thing and loved it, just like I knew she would!
I'm so grateful for the temple and the opportunity my family has to be together forever. The sealing power is so sacred and special!! I couldn't imagine being without Jordan and my girls, and I'm so thankful that my Heavenly Father made a way for us to be together!
The girls taking a ride ... my brother's backyard is seriously better than a park!
Jordan and Reagan on the trampoline
Reagan's first time on grass (that's what the green stuff is, for all you Arizonans :) )
My Mom, my niece Clara, Jordan and Reagan
Playing air hockey in the basement
The girls wanted a picture with Smokey when we stopped in Jacob's Lake
Our temple!
The whole group
The performers mingle with the crowd before the show starts so the girls got to get their picture taken with a couple of Nephites!
I LOVE my family!!
