Into the Wilderness

We decided to take a break from our long road trips and spend some time in the great outdoors. When I first met Jordan, I had no idea there were mountains in Arizona. Turns out there are beautiful mountains just a couple hours away and pretty close to where Jordan's parents are. We met Nana, Papa, Jason, Jodi, Brynli, Kynsli and Kelbi last weekend for a little camping trip.

I grew up camping in campgrounds and always near a lake or river. But Jordan's family likes to just head out into the forest and set up shop wherever they want! They also bring lots of "toys" like four-wheelers and a ranger for entertainment instead of swimming. The girls had fun going on lots of rides! They were a little hesitant at first to get down and dirty since they've only been camping once but after awhile they were all about it! Not being near water or in a campground was a little challenging since we are tent campers so not having a bathroom nearby or water to wash off the day's dirt wasn't ideal, but thankfully Nana and Papa let us use the bathroom in their trailer so it worked out. It was nice to just be out in nature and relax!!

Madison and Kynsli

 Four cute girls

Madison wanted me to take this picture to show how much she loves drinking her hot chocolate :)

McKinley and Kelbi

The girls used the flatbed as a stage and did lots of dances for us on it!

Nana found something cool to show the kids!
